A Nevisian Excursion

We woke up early to catch the 8:30 ferry to Nevis, which left at about 9 o'clock. As I packed for staying overnight, I finally found my digital camera battery charger in the bowels of my backpack!! Millie had invited us down to some events that commemorate Nelson - some guy involved with the British-Nevisian history. The waves were exceptionally choppy today so LD got sea sick on the ferry. If you were wondering, Pepto actually works and fast. We got to meet Angie, the Williams' daughter. She is very sweet even though she's a Cowboys fan. There was supposed to be a horse race this afternoon, but the recent days of rain must have made the track too muddy. Instead, Lloyd and Millie drove the three of us (and their cute grandson Terron) on a partial island tour. We saw the race track, Lloyd's hydroponic farm again, great views of the ocean and the mountain, the Grand Rock Hotel owned and operated by L&M's friend Pam, and plenty of goats on the way. I love Millie's cooking! She made wonderful egg and potato salad, BBQ chicken, and vegetables for lunch. I installed a DVD burner on Lloyd's iBook. We may be taking it back to St. Kitts so we can make a short film about what we've done with the moral education project so far. I was electrocuted for the first time as I unplugged a fan. Good stuff.
