"With a Renewed Zeal"

That is how Cristina described the vigor of Christian missionaries around the year 1844, as discussed by William Sears in Thief in the Night: The Case of the Missing Millennium. It is describes a lot about today.

This was fifth day that Halva came to the Bahá'í Center to work and hang out with us. (We bought materials for and prepared saltfish, rice, and coleslaw for lunch.) I was beginning to wonder what made us form a friendship so quickly and caused him to want to spend a whole week with us. Of course, many hands make light work, but I know he is not taking advantage of our willingness to help in his craft. All week we had kept more or less silent about the Bahá'í Faith despite Halva's questions about our beliefs on various subjects and that his understandings of spiritual principles are very similar to our own. When we were discussing the harmful effects of lying on the perpetrator, Darlene interjected that "Truthfulness is the foundation of all human virtues..." To our surprise, Halva responded that one of the reasons he's here is to learn about the Bahá'í Faith! None of this would be happening had Kay not stopped to talk to him on the street the day before she went home to Alaska.

Thinking about this and other opportunities to share Bahá'u'lláh's teachings on the unity of mankind that are magically appearing is getting me pumped. Chatting with friends from Rutgers and learning about the positive developments they're taking part in only makes it better.
The statements about humanity's increasing plight and subsequent Golden Age from World Order are keeping us grounded yet goal-oriented.
