LD, Cristina and I gave another presentation at the Convent school this morning. It went moderately well, but we were basically talking at the students. Only two of them were really answering our questions. One of them was Karence – the winner of Kittitian Super Star. We need to meet with the principal to learn what is expected of us.

As usual, we helped Halva with varnishing, gluing and polishing. At the same time we began preparing tomorrow's Birth of the Báb celebration. A guy named Jason stopped to chat. He had passed by the Center for a long time without knowing what the Bahá'í Faith was, so we assumed he was interested in learning more about it. He did ask some questions, but he was more interested in converting us to his beliefs. He wanted us to attend his Messianic church on Saturday and assured us that we would be so blown away that we will want to become immersed (baptised) right then. Not that I have any fear of him being correct, but I have little desire to go if that is the attitude he has, but I certainly wouldn't mind going if it was just to meet people and learn about his belief system without any expectations.

After closing the craft shop that our dinning room table has become, Halva asked us to meet some of his friends so we could invite them to tomorrow's Holy Day celebration. (That's pretty cool! We just hung out with him and all his interest in the Faith have come from within himself.) We went up Monkey Hill, which offered a great view of Basseterre and Nevis in the distance, to return the Chinese Checkers game board that Halva beat me several times on. We met and invited a family on upper Market Street, a man who oversees some world-reknowned historical library, and a woman around the corner from the Center. The invitations were well received, as were the ones handed to two other passers-by of the Center later in the evening.

Again, Darlene made Persian rice – with tahtdík this time! We consulted our way through more Holy Day prep. My computer's hard drive was acting up so I restarted, but the modem needs to be reconfigured by the people from Cable and Wireless. That's why this post is being put up a day late.
